Black Tartarian is an early-season sweet cherry known for deep purple-black fruit with tender, juicy flesh and a rich, mild flavor. Medium to large cherries ripen in late spring to early summer and are best enjoyed fresh. Not self-fertile, it requires a compatible pollinator such as Bing or Stella and about 700–800 chilling hours.
