A charming, low-growing groundcover that spreads gently by rhizomes to form a lush carpet of glossy blue-green foliage. Short, upright stems carry small, bell-shaped greenish-white flowers that dangle beneath the leaves in spring, followed by attractive blue-black berries in summer. Its compact habit and shade tolerance make it an excellent choice for woodland gardens, shady rock gardens, or as a graceful groundcover along woodland edges.
