A dwarf crape myrtle with a compact, spreading habit and glossy foliage that emerges maroon, matures to dark green, and turns bronze-red in fall. Deep rose-pink flowers bloom from midsummer into early fall, making it ideal for containers, rock gardens, borders, or low hedges.
Grow in full sun for the best flowering and strongest growth. Plant in well-drained, moderately fertile soil, as good drainage is especially important. Water regularly during the first growing season to establish a strong root system, then reduce watering once established, as this crape myrtle is drought tolerant. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain its compact shape and remove dead, damaged, or crossing branches, avoiding heavy pruning.
