There are few true red Iris available, and this sultry beauty is truly a masterpiece.Velvety, burgundy red, densely ruffled standards rise above furry gold beards on wide, shimmering hafts. Each stalk yields 8-9 double-socketed buds, insuring the pleasure of a long extended bloom season.
Plant in full sun to part shade in average, well-drained soil. Feed in early spring with a low-nitrogen fertilizer, with a second light application about a month after bloom. Remove dead or damaged foliage and spent blooms as needed, and cut back foliage in fall to 6". Divide every 3-5 years.
