Purple Rain Weeping Redbud is a compact, vigorous tree that is perfect for small to medium gardens or foundation plantings. Sturdy weeping branches bloom rosy-pink in spring, followed by heart-shaped purple leaves that turn purple-green in summer and bright yellow in fall. Heat and cold tolerant, easy to grow in sun or part shade, and a standout specimen near patios or outdoor living spaces.
Plant in well-drained soil with full sun to part shade for best flowering and leaf color. Water regularly during the first year to establish roots, then it’s drought-tolerant once established. Prune only to shape or remove dead branches.
