Gardening with ornamental plants has long been considered a chore by many, a luxury by others, and nothing more than a utilitarian function by passionless landscape architects. Our job as members of the green industry is to re-frame ornamental plants as an enjoyable leisure activity, a way to satisfy our natural human collector tendencies, and a way to enhance our human environment, all while pulling excess CO2 from the atmosphere. How cool is that?
