I got bit by the plant bug in 1984 in my Woody Plants course during my third year at college. Since then I’ve never stopped learning about them and marveling in them.

I landscaped my way thru school, graduated BSNR from University of Michigan in 1985. I spent July ’86 thru October ’88 with the Peace Corp in the Dominican Republic where I worked with the Secretary of Agriculture, Natural Resources Department and groups of Campesinos giving environmental talks and developing a fruit tree nursery.

After leaving Cuerpo de Paz, I got a job at The Barn Nursery and Landscape Center in northern Illinois and stayed there for 17 years. Now, I’ve been representing a number of nurseries since 2006 and am proud to add Prides Corner Farms to my portfolio.

My interests include everything having to do with water whether liquid or frozen, fresh or salt- although there’s no saltwater here in northern Illinois! Other interests include fixing antique outboard engines and giving new life to old wood furniture.
