Durable old fashioned perennial with stalks of large, deep purple flowers flecked with white. Each flower has unique streaking. Winner of three American Iris Society awards. Blooms June-July. Ideal for sunny borders, near ponds or water gardens. Good cut flowers.

Rhizomes should be planted at soil level. Remove dead foliage in fall. Divide rhizomes in July. Prefers moist, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade.
