Deep green, fragrant foliage with a nearly gray gloss decorates strongly upright stems that form a dense clump with flower spikes at the tip of each stem. Incredible numbers of flowers open from June into August on elongated spikes that stretch up to 6" in length showing off a deep blue-violet color that is riveting.
