'Leonardo' wakes up early, forming a tight mound of deep green, somewhat fleshy, heart shaped foliage that is quickly topped by a myriad of fat flower buds. These buds open in mid to late April to completely cover the plant with those 1.5" diameter sunny daisies that will provide instant garden warmth. 'Leonardo' is a marked improvement over other Doronicum varieties because of its tight, dense form and its consistent, profuse bloom.
