Lush blue-green foliage forms a bushy, rounded clump that color and texture to any sunny garden. In late May, 10" tall spikes of rich, grape colored flowers with yellow keels are borne above the foliage and put on a spectacular show. Even better, this plant's intense flower color stays strong without fading. 'Grape Taffy' flowers are a favorite for many butterflies while deer tend to avoid this easy to grow perennial.
Grows best in full sun, though it tolerates light shade. Water regularly the first season, but drought tolerant once established.
