Dependable and colorful, 'Blue Hill' is the type of perennial that requires very little effort to grow yet delivers incredible garden results. Emerging in the early spring with deep green, narrow foliage, 'Blue Hill' becomes a dense, multiple stemmed mound in no time. As May progresses, each stem is topped by buds that elongate into a 3 to 4" stems that rise above the foliage and open to reveal masses of pure blue flowers by early June. Since there are so many stems the amount of closely packed flower spike makes for an incredible show of bloom that continues well into the summer. With its dense, compact from, 'Blue Hill' is perfect for grouping in the middle of the garden and, as long as you plant it in a sunny spot with well-drained soil, you can stand back and admire the show without a thought of any extra work.
