‘Michel Buchner’ is a vigorous, upright growing deciduous shrub with luscious green foliage and a profusion of 5" long, very fragrant, double rose-lilac flower spikes from April through May. Heavy blooming. Intense Lilac fragrance. Dependable and easy to grow. Perfect for massing to make an easy-to-grow border planting. Outstanding cut flower.
Requires full sun, although will tolerate slight shade and well-drained soil. Prune immediately after bloom in late spring to reduce size. To maintain vigor, thin old stems in the winter.
