Prides Corner Farms - Giving back to local communities
On Saturday the 18th, 2009 in the neighboring town of Willimantic, CT, Prides Corner Farm participated in "Town Pride - Town Wide" a Willimantic spring spruce up event held in conjunction with Earth Day.
Prides Corner Farms donated plants and volunteers from our staff and, along with the City of Willimantic employees and students from Eastern Connecticut State University, successfully planted and mulched two sparkling new gardens in the city.

In addition to planting the new gardens,
Town Pride – Town Wide was an opportunity for Prides employees to give back a little to the town where many of them live. Led by Prides Corner Senior Team Leader Mickey Morales, a team of Prides Corner volunteers gave back by taking away…the trash that is! With trash bags in hand, Prides Corner employees walked from street to street in their neighborhoods picking up roadside trash, making their streets just a little more pleasant. ![]() |
It was a beautiful spring day and everyone worked hard and had fun doing so! Many thanks to everyone who helped make one of our hometowns a little cleaner, a little prettier and a little more comfortable to live in. ![]() |
